726 Women Benefit From Kwara Lawmaker’s N100m Cash Grant
POLITICS DIGEST – The member representing Edu/Moro/Patigi federal constituency in Kwara state, Hon. Ahmed Abubakar Ndakene has empowered a total of 726 women from his constituency with cash grants.
The lawmaker according to a statement from his media aide, Buhari Abubakar Saddiq, has on Sunday, granted cash grant to 306 women from Lafiagi as well as 203 women from Tsaragi district.
According to the statement, this has so far brought an end to the first phase of the women empowerment scheme in Edu Local Government Area with a total of 726 women empowered thus far.

Recall on the 5th of October, 2019, Hon. Ndakene launched the first phase of the disbursement of micro-grants under his economic development strategy tagged ‘Honourable Ahmed Abubakar Ndakene constituency development initiative (HAAN-CODI), where cash grant was disbursed to 217)women petty traders in Shonga District.
The lawmaker then urged the beneficiaries to make maximum use of the grant to improve their businesses, noting that doing so will enhance self-sufficiency and open up lots of other economic opportunities in the constituency.
He further announced that subsequent batches of the disbursement will continue in Patigi and Moro local Government Areas respectively.
Ndakene finally implored the beneficiaries to take advantage of several other entrepreneurship programs that will be initiated to boost their economy.
