2023: Abba Gida Gida Explains Absence at NMA Debate, Commends Organisers

The gubernatorial candidate of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) in Kano State, Engr. Abba Yusuf, popularly known as Abba Gida Gida, has commended the efforts of Kano state branch of the Nigerian Medical Association (NMA) for organising its maiden debate for the candidates.
Abba in a letter signed by his spokesman, Sanusi Bature, described the event as a symbolic attempt to prioritise the health development agenda.

While apologising for his inability to participate in the event due to other crucial engagements, the NNPP candidate said the invitation letter was brought to his notice when he was already out of the state.
The NNPP candidate was therefore represented at the Debate by a former commissioner for health, Dr. Abubakar Labaran Yusuf, and his spokesman, Sanusi Bature.
“I look forward to future engagements with the NMA as a professional body. Our plans for the health sector would be unveiled along with that of other critical sectors as part of our blueprint insha Allah” Abba Gida Gida was quoted in the letter.
