ABU Honours Kano Debt Management Office DG As The Most Cited Researcher

The Director-General of Debt Management Office Kano State Dr Hamisu Sadi Ali will on Thursday 24th January, 2024 receive an award of honour by Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria as the most cited researcher of the Faculty of Social Sciences.
Ali, who is the Secretary of the New Nigeria Peoples Party in Kano State is a staff of the Economics Department of the University and one of the 117 staff of the university that will receive various categories of awards for their outstanding contributions to the objectives of the University and national and international developments.
The Director-General holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Economics from Bayero University and a Masters from the same institution.

The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Kabiru Bala, will present the awards at 2 pm at the Assembly Hall.
Their nominations were contained in a report of the University Reward and Recognition System Committee submitted to the University Management on Monday, 22nd January 2024.
It would be recalled that the Vice-Chancellor approved the setting up of the Committee on 14th December, 2023 to institute a reward and special recognition system for staff members in general, and those who occupy positions of authority in the management of the University.
The seven-member Committee chaired by Prof. Sani A. Abdullahi of the Department of Finance recommended 34 different categories of reward and recognition for staff and service units of the University.
