Abuja Philanthropist to Buy JAMB’s UTME Forms for 750 Students
In a continued effort to promote quality education, Honourable Shagi S. Jonah, a philanthropist based in the Gwagwalada Area Council, has launched a free Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) registration program.
This initiative aims to sponsor 750 underprivileged students committed to furthering their education in the upcoming 2025 examination.
The scholarship scheme will cover all ten wards of the Gwagwalada Area Council, ensuring that as many deserving students as possible have the opportunity to participate. The program is designed to empower those facing financial barriers to higher education.

Honourable Jonah serves as the Senior Special Adviser to the Executive Chairman of Gwagwalada Area Council, Honourable Abubakar Jibrin Giri, and is also a chairmanship aspirant for the council.
“Education is the bedrock of every society,” Jonah stated. “We are passionate about building our future generations today. Education is the driving force behind achieving our dreams. We have taken it upon ourselves to create opportunities for vulnerable and less privileged individuals who might have lost hope in accessing higher institutions. This initiative is part of our broader plans to give back to society.”
To ensure transparency and inclusivity, a 21-member committee, with two representatives from each ward, has been established to oversee the application process and ensure that all eligible students are considered.
This generous initiative highlights the importance of community support in fostering educational development and provides a much-needed lifeline for students aspiring to achieve their academic goals.
