AfCFTA Implementation: CIPE, NACCIMA Partner to Strengthen MSME’s Participation
POLITICS DIGEST – Center for International Private Enterprise (CIPE) has revealed plans to partner with the Nigerian Association of Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (NACCIMA) to participate in the ongoing national policy dialogue around the Africa Continental Free Trade Area Agreement (AfCFTA).
The partnership will also engage other Medium and Small Scale Enterprises (MSMEs) associations in Nigeria to strengthen the policy.

CIPE in a statement by its Communications Consultant, Toun Okewale Sonaiya, said the partnership will also support MSMEs in Nigeria to articulate policy positions needed to maximize the opportunities presented by the AfCFTA policy, which if properly implemented allow the MSMEs to harness its benefits.
The statement added that, “NACCIMA will work with Manufacturers Association of Nigeria (MAN), Nigeria Employers’ Consultative Association (NECA), Nigerian Association of Small and Medium Enterprises (NASME), Nigerian Association of Small Scale Industrialists (NASSI), National Association of Nigerian Traders (NANTS) and Federation of Agricultural Commodities Association of Nigeria (FACAN) to formulate a research-backed policy position reflective of the views of the Nigerian private sector, with recommendations for the national government to consider.
“This partnership will address one of CIPE’s objectives which is strengthening the Private sector to participate in democratic governance, for inclusive growth through market-led solutions”, they added.
