The President equally said Cross River State nominee, Mr. Asi Oku Okang, will be replaced with a new nominee from the state, Rt. Hon. Orok Otuk Duke.
This followed protests by members and leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) that the two nominees worked against the party’s interests in the last general elections.
The party loyalists have been lamenting that the people who worked for the party are being neglected while rivals are being rewarded with political appointments.
The President also reappointed the immediate past Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of the NDDC, Dr. Samuel Ogbuku, for a second term.
The statement added that Ogbuku will remain in acting capacity pending Senate’s confirmation.
