AGF Ahmed Idris Honoured By Gezawa Community
POLITICS DIGEST – The people of Gezawa Community, in the Gezawa Local Government Area of Kano State have honoured Alhaji Ahmed Idris for his contributions to the development of the community.
Ahmed Idris, who is the Accountant General of the Federation, was honoured by the community in a ceremony organised by the District Head of Gezawa, Alhaji Mahmud Aminu Yusuf and the Gezawa Unity Association on July 25th, 2020.
Three of the groups under the auspices of the Gezawa Unity Association awarded souvenirs to Idris, which were presented to him by the District Head of Gezawa, Alhaji Aminu Mahmud Yusuf, Mai’unguwar Mundubawa.

The Chairman of Gezawa Local Government Area, Alhaji Usman Hudu Zainawa commended the recipient, adding that Alhaji Idris deserved the honours conferred on him for his kindness, concern for the people and assisting indigenes of the community to get employment.
He recalled how Alhaji Idris assisted indigent members of the community by solving their various problems, including settling medical bills and the provision of furniture to schools.
In his response, the AGF promised to continue to support the community and announced his intention to provide furniture in the Girls’ School in the community; computers for an ICT Centre and the construction of drainage in the Divisional Police Headquarters.
On employment, Ahmed Idris advised youths in the area to remedy joblessness by learning trades, vocations and various life skills for self employment.
He said that the 300 unemployed holders of of the Nigerian Certificate of Education (NCE), first and masters degrees to explore alternatives to salaried jobs as government alone could not absorb all job seekers.
