Akeredolu Prophesy Came to Pass, Now I’m Governor, Says Aiyedatiwa
POLITICS DIGEST- Ondo State Governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, has claimed that his predecessor, late governor Rotimi Akeredolu already prophesied his victory at the All Progressives Congress (APC) primary election.
The governor stated this at a meeting with the officials and the members of the Lucky Aiyedatiwa Campaign Organisation Foot Soldiers (LACO-FS) in Akure during the weekend.
Aiyedatiwa, who became governor after Akeredolu’s passing in December 2023, expressed optimism about winning the governorship ticket of the APC in April and the main election in November 2024.

Describing Akeredolu as a prophet, Aiyedatiwa said his predecessor had predicted that he would become the next governor of the Ondo state.
“My supporters should continue working and never doubt, as my coming victory in the primary and general elections is the promise of God.
“This (my emergence as governor) is what my late boss, Governor Akeredolu, wanted. A lot of people don’t really know Akeredolu; they don’t know that he was a prophet.
“There was a time after he (Akeredolu) returned from a medical vacation that he told the cabinet members during an executive council meeting that ‘Look, Aiyedatiwa will emerge as the next governor,” Aiyedatiwa said.
The governor reiterated that his ambition to contest for governorship position was beyond the mandate of his joint ticket with the late Akeredolu but a sincere mission to transform Ondo State and uplift the standard of living of the people.
