Anioma Youth Forum Worldwide Rejects Planned Nationwide Protest
The Anioma Youth Forum Worldwide (AYF-W) has announced its decision not to participate in the planned nationwide protest against hardship and perceived bad governance in the country.
The forum, which represents all Anioma youths in the Delta North Senatorial District of Delta State, made this decision after a national executive meeting on Monday, July 22.
According to the forum, the planned protest is politically motivated and has been hijacked by politicians, which will not serve the interest of the people. AYF-W emphasized that while Nigerians have the right to peaceful protest, historical records show that such protests often lead to unintended consequences, including hijack by hoodlums and loss of lives and properties.

The forum cited the EndSARS protest as an example, which resulted in massive loss of government and private infrastructures in Anioma land, including lives lost and maimed. AYF-W believes that Nigerians can express their dissatisfaction with the government through other means that do not disrupt national stability.
The forum appealed to all Anioma youths to shun the protest and deny the proponents any parts of Anioma land for such actions. AYF-W also called on governments at all levels to urgently address the economic challenges facing the nation and alleviate the suffering of the populace.
In a statement signed by National President Comr. Nnamdi O. Ofonye and National Publicity Secretary Comr. Ekwukwo Elvis, the forum emphasized the need for accountability and good governance at all levels, including state and local governments.
