Out of 40 members of the state assembly, they were able to mobilise 15 and for the speaker to be impeached, they needed 27 members of the House.

The House leader Labaran Abdul Madari of Warawa Constituency and Ayuba Labaran Durum of Kabo Constituency are at the top of actualising the impeachment on the orders of Murtala Sule Garo, the state commissioner for local government.
A member of the State Assembly who pleaded anonymity however told POLITICS DIGEST that the plot failed because of their failure to get the support of at least 27 lawmakers to actualise the plot for the second time.
This is the second time they are attempting the impeachment but they failed because of the majority members support to Cidari and other principal officers of the House.
“They got 15 members and that’s not the minimum number to remove a principal officer in the Assembly, you need 27. They realised that they cannot get the numbers, that’s why they are denying the story,” he said.
