The Ansar-UD-Deen Society of Nigeria, Abuja branch has organized a special Jumaat prayer for Nigeria, in order to promote peaceful coexistence, economic growth and progress of the country.

The mosque is also organizing ‘Lailatul Qadr’, a Night of Majesty, which will feature a known scholar, Sheik Abubakar Issa who will be the guest lecturer for the night.

The special night prayer which is taking place at the Ansar-UD-Deen Central Mosque in Abuja will start by 10:00pm till dawn

While speaking during the Jummat Special prayer, Chief Imam of the Societal Mosque, Abuja chapter, Dr. Musa Olaofe said that today being the last Friday of Ramadan is a special day to pray for Nigeria.

He said “Ansar-UD-Deen has organized a special prayer for this country, that is the only thing we can give to Nigeria. We don’t have money to give but to assist Nigeria on prayer and that’s why we organized special Jumaat prayer for the country so that Allah give us peace, progress, stability all the time to guide our leaders right.

“We believe that with this prayer, Allah will guide our leaders right and solve our problems. All these insurgencies, killing, bombing, kidnapping that is rampant, we need to pray to Allah that, if we have done something wrong, we pray for Allah’s forgiveness,” Olaofe said.

The Chief Imam also appealed to Nigerians to always wish the country and her leaders well, saying that “they should not forget that it is not easy to be a leader.”

“The followers must have time to liaise with their leaders, move closer to them, advise them you know, in such a way that they will admire the ways and manners in which we are advising them instead of us raining curses on them, abusing them calling them names which is not good and also not part of Islam practice.” Olaofe said.

Chairman of the Ansar-UD-Deen, mosque, Abuja branch, Mohammad Kabir Olayiwola also urged Muslims to maintain the good behavior exhibited during the months of Ramadan.

He said “Just like our leader Prophet Muhammad (SWA) as taught that the sword of Mumeen is prayer, and we believe in the presidency of His Excellency President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

“We are contributing our own quota to support him to succeed. Because if he succeeds, Nigeria will succeed. So, we believe we can only pray for him, and we have been doing prayer which we believe has been answered.

“Today being Lailatul Qadri, any prayer said, Allah has promised in the Quran that it will be answered.

So we believe today’s prayer is a special one. I wants Nigeria to be great, to create peaceful coexistence in Nigeria. That’s why we organized the prayer,” Olayiwola said.
