APC In Comfortable Lead As INEC Announces Kwara Governorship Results
POLITICS DIGEST – Incumbent Kwara State Governor and candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Saturday’s Governorship election, Malam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, is in a comfortable lead as he clears 13 out of 16 Local Government Areas (LGAs) announced so far by the Independent National Electoral Commission, (INEC).
Most of the APC State Assembly candidates are also in clear lead in the results announced at the various polling booths.
The governor won in Ekiti, Offa, Ifelodun, Irepodun, Pategi, Asa, Moro, Isin, Oyun, Ilorin South, Ilorin East, Eke-Ero, and Kaiama Councils.
AbdulRazak is trailed by candidate of the People Democratic Party, Shuaib Yaman Abdullahi.
The three local governments yet to be announced are Baruten, Edu and Ilorin West Local Government Areas.
The collation and announcement of the results are being coordinated by Professor Issac Nathaniel Itodo, the Vice Chancellor of the University of Agriculture, Makurdi, Benue State.
