APC Primaries: Yahaya Blows Hot, Vows not to Step Down

The Governor of Kogi State Yahaya Bello has said that there would be a crisis in the All Progressives Congress (APC) if he is disenfranchised and stopped from participating in the ongoing presidential primary election.

Bello accused some governors of ganging up against him, being the leading presidential aspirant.
Speaking to State House correspondents after meeting President Muhammadu Buhari on Tuesday afternoon, the governor said only the President can ask him to step down for anyone.
He said that zoning the presidency to the South as proposed and agreed upon by some northern governors is undemocratic, unconstitutional, adding that he is not part of it.
