In addition to the suspension, the State Working Committee (SWC) has also sanctioned them for six months and a special investigation panel has been set up to verify several allegations against them.
The Kano APC Chairman Abdullahi Abbas says that they, at the state level, have since adopted the decisions of the local government party leaders, and are now investigating the anti-party activities of the culprits.
“We have evidence of meetings between the state government officials and those that suspended the National Chairman, and SWC has agreed to sanction them for six months and they now stand suspended” the chairman said.
Earlier in his announcement, the suspended APC Ganduje Ward leader, Halliru Gwanjo said they decided to suspend the National Chairman from the party due to the allegations leveled against him by Kano state government on bribery, adding that the suspension starts today 15 April.
