In recent time there was a Military interventions in some West African Nations and the latest was in Burkina Faso last two weeks and the whole world condemned the took over power by one junior Military officer Captain Ibrahim.
President of Nigeria Muhammad Buhari and his Government has condemned the recent Military coup d’etat in Burkina Faso and directed that democracy must be restored and instituted ASAP in that West African Country.
Military dictatorship has been the root cause of doom and underdevelopment in Africa and other South-South Nations. In all the Continents of the world Military dictatorship is an old passion of leadership and no country in the world that can get support and backing of global political and economic stakeholders; the moment Military dictatorship instituted.
In this time of “American Centric” Democracy is the system that gives opportunity for the citizens to be represented within the corridor of power and fundemental human rights, right to vote or be voted, freedom of speech, freedom of want, equality before the law and free, fair, credible, violence free and internationally acceptable elections be assured and instituted in that country.
Democracy is a system initiated in Athens in 508BC and since then the world has been doing different types of Democratic system.

Since the beginning of the 18th Century three types of Democratic system has been widely in practice in the world; Parliamentary Democracy, Liberal Democracy, Social Democracy and Direct Democracy. Democratic system is a game of representation and a system that gives opportunity for the citizens to vote or be voted to represent the people in the corridor of power. In the Democracy it’s the responsibility of the elected representatives to do what the people want—–pure and simple. Hence, Democracy means “Strength Or Power Belong To The People”. ‘We The People”! (UN).
Since Independence of Nigeria in 1960 this is the first time Democracy has been in practice without Military interventions (1999 to 2022). This means that since 1999 Nigerians has been electing their leaders via Democratic voting power. But why in 1999 about 57% of Nigerians voted and in 2019 only 23% voted? Researchers and stakeholders as well as global Democratic leaders must try to find out the rational behind why that happened.
This means that the Democratic system has been instituted since 1999 to date. Sincerely, building/strengthening institutions in a country is what will make that country economically, politically and socially developed. This means that building individuals in a country is what will make the country under developed and in doom. Strong institutions are the fundemental elements and building blocks of Democracy.
Hence, re-electing APC party in 2023 in Nigeria will strengthen the Democratic system and as well in other African Nations. And again, Bola Tinubu has the political will, mission, vision and experience that will make Nigeria great. Lagos State between 1999 to 2007 is an excellent example.
