Appeal Court Nullifies Makinde’s Election as Oyo Governor
POLITICS DIGEST – The Court of Appeal sitting in Ibadan has on Monday nullified the election of the governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo state.

The court reversed the judgement of governorship election petition tribunal, which declared Makinde of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, winner of the election.
The appeal was filed by the All Progressives Congress, APC governorship candidate, Bayo Adelabu.
In a four-against-one judgement, the five-man panel said the tribunal judgement was perverse.
However, the appellate court did not give order for a fresh election.
