Atiku Attacks Tinubu over Worsening Insecurity
POLITICS DIGEST – Former Vice President of Nigeria, Atiku Abubakar, took to X today to criticize President Bola Tinubu’s response to the escalating insecurity in the country. Atiku accused Tinubu of playing the fiddle while Nigeria faces a worsening situation of insecurity.
In a post from his official X account (@atiku), Atiku expressed dismay over the Commander-in-Chief’s purported private visit amid rising incidents of violence, including the recent killing of a nursing mother and grandmother in Abuja for failing to pay a N90 million ransom.
He also highlighted the tragic killings of two monarchs in Ekiti and the ongoing security challenges faced by Nigerians.

Atiku called for decisive and 24/7 leadership to address the pervasive insecurity and the challenges facing the country’s economy.
He suggested that if the current leadership is unable to provide effective solutions, it may be prudent for them to step aside.
His words: ”Tinubu is playing fiddle while Nigeria is drowning in the ocean of insecurity.
”To imagine that the Commander-in-Chief is on a so-called private visit while kidnappers kill a nursing mother and grandmother in Abuja for failing to pay N90 million ransom and two monarchs in Ekiti, among other regular tragedies besetting Nigerians.
”If the shoes are too big for Emilokan, he should step aside. Nigeria does not need another tourist-in-chief. The country needs 24/7 leadership to confront the pervasive insecurity and collapsing economy.”
