2023: Atiku, a Veteran Loser, we Don’t Know Obi in Katsina – Masari
By Kabir Akintayo
Katsina State governor, Aminu Bello Masari, has said the duo of Presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar, and his Labour Party (LP) counterpart, Peter Obi, wont be a match for the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, in the 2023 election.
While hailing Atiku as a veteran contestant and veteran loser who has some weight, Masari dismissed the chances of Obi, saying both him and the people of Katsina don’t know the LP candidate.
The governor was responding to questions in an interview with Babajide Kolade Otitoju of TVC’s Journalist Hangout on Wednesday.

Asked to assess Tinubu’s chances at the polls, he said “who is better than him in the political arena of Nigeria today?” then Otitoju responded that some people think Obi is better, the governor responded: “I don’t know him, someone who was governor of Anambra…., if you ask a Katsina man, nobody knows Peter Obi. We are talking about a presidential candidate of Nigeria somebody who has cut all barriers, tribal, religious, regional, name it.”
“Atiku is a formidable force, but our force is greater than him and he knows that. He’s a veteran of contesting elections and also a veteran loser. He will lose again this time.”
He added that the people of Katsina are not ingrates, insisting that they will reward Tinubu for what he did for President Muhammadu Buhari in 2015 and 2019.
