Bauchi Governor Re-Appoints ex-SSG Who Forfeited PDP Guber Ticket Back to Position

POLITICS DIGEST – Governor Bala Mohammed of Bauchi State has re-appointed his immediate-past Secretary to the State Government, SSG, Bar. Ibrahim Muhammad Kashim, back to his former position.
Politics Digest gathered that Kashim had resigned as SSG to contest the 2023 Bauchi governorship election.

He recently won the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, gubernatorial primaries in Bauchi State, and was returned as the party’s flagbearer, ahead of the main governorship election, scheduled for next year.
But Kashim, would ‘surprisingly’ withdrew from the guber race and also rejected the PDP ticket, after Governor Mohammed lost the presidential convention to former Vice President Atiku Abubakar.
The National Working Committee, NWC, of the PDP has scheduled next week monday, for a new primaries to pick its flagbearer, after Kashim’s withdrawal.
According to a press release issued by the Bauchi State Government’s Office on Thursday, Governor Mohammed approved Kashim’s re-appointment as SSG.
The appointment takes immediate effect.
