2023: Borno Elders Rally Support for Tinubu/Shettima Ticket

The Chairman of Borno Elders’ Forum, Alhaji Gambo Gubio, on Friday led a team to pay homage to the All Progressive Congress, APC, vice-presidential candidate, Sen. Kashim Shettima, in his Maiduguri residence.

Gubio said that the visit was meant to congratulate Shettima for his emergence as Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s running mate and to assure him that Borno people are solidly behind him.
The elders assured the former governor that they will get to work immediately and mobilise the people to ensure the success of the APC at all levels of the 2023 polls.
According to a Facebook post, Shettima expressed gratitude to the elders, pledging not to let them down at any time.
He also thanked them for the support they are giving to his successor, Governor Babagana Umara Zulum.
