BPSR DG urges Nigerians to remain resolute in spite challenges
POLITICS DIGEST- The Director-General of Bureau of Public Service Reforms (BPSR), Dasuki Arabi, has urged Nigerians not give up in spite of current challenges in the country. Arabi also said that Nigerians must look inward for solutions and be patriotic so as to build the country of their dreams.
The BPSR boss made the appeal in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Sunday in Abuja.

According to him, most countries are going through similar challenges, as such Nigerians must work collectively to find solutions to the problems. “We must sacrifice as citizens of this country to pass through this very difficult situation that we find ourselves. “There are socio economic problems, but they are not restricted to Nigeria alone. “If you are going through the news, you must have heard that the British Pound came down to the lowest it has ever done in the last 50 years. “Inflation is all over the place, economies are crashing and we must commend our country and the government for being able to sustain us to this level,” he added.
According to him, Nigerians should support government and leadership at all levels to overcome the situation. “Most importantly, be patriotic and look towards ourselves as individuals to be models for the youths that are coming up and for other countries. “Hoping that the security problems and challenges we are having, God will give us that opportunity to overcome them, so that we will be greater than what we are,” Arabi said.
The DG urged Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) to cooperate and continue to produce excellent policies for government. This he said, would indirectly help to reduce the cost of governance and deliver services to citizens. “This is of interest to society; collaboration will reduce cost of governance and improve the quality of public service that we deliver.”
He thanked MDAs for working with the Bureau, adding that the credit of whatever was achieved should go to the entire public service. “I want to thank the Chairman of the Subcommittee on reforms, Mr Boss Mustapha for the wonderful support he has been giving us, and the Head of Civil Service of the Federation, who is the co-chair, for equally supporting us,” Arabi said
