Buhari mourns former Ondo military governor, Olukoya
POLITICS DIGEST- The President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari (retd.), has condoled with the government and people of Ondo and Ekiti States over the death of Rear Admiral Sunday Olukoya (retd.).
Buhari’s condolence message was contained in a statement by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina, titled ‘President Buhari pays tribute to former Ondo Military Governor, Rear Admiral Sunday Olukoya’.

In the statement, the President described the late Rear Admiral who served as a Military Governor of Old Ondo State (now Ondo and Ekiti) between 1990 and 1992 as a brilliant officer who distinguished himself in his career in the military and performed creditably in Ondo.
He noted that even after retirement from the military, the late Olukoya, in his desire for a better society, continued to offer his services to his community as a private citizen.
The President, therefore, prayed that Almighty God grants the deceased eternal rest and comfort his family, friends and associates as they mourn him.
