Buhari Support Organization Accuse Ganduje of Working Against APC
POLITICS DIGEST- The APC Buhari Support Organization has raised the alarm over discrimination, selectiveness and partiality against members of the All Progressives Congress, APC in Kano state during the party’s registration/revalidation exercise, held recently.
In a letter of complaint sighted by POLITICS DIGEST, on Monday and signed by Shehu Dalhatu, Chairman of the group, Kano branch, which was addressed to the Chairman, APC Registration Appeal Committee, the group alleged that the exercise in Kano was calculated sabotage to reduce the population of the party in the next general election.
The group also alleged that the leadership of the party in Kano did not allow members of the registration committee to participate fully in the exercise.
According to the group, the state government had hosted the committee members but “the materials were kept at the government house while the exercise was centrally coordinated with insignificant involvement of the committee responsible for the exercise.”

The group also alleged that significant members of the APC Buhari Support Organization and aggrieved members of the party were excluded in the exercise in the state, saying “that made the exercise ‘uncredible’ whose outcome did not represent the actual number of APC members in Kano state where Buhari enjoyed the highest number of votes in the presidential elections.”
The group further alleges that the state’s Acting APC Chairman, Abdullahi Abbas, under the watchful eye of Governor Abdullahi Ganduje shortchanged most of the party, especially those from the legacy parties and replaced them with most of the members of the old Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.
“A complaint letter was written to the former National Chairman of APC, Adams Oshiomole to avert the anticipated consequences of such political mischief in the 2019 general elections that was primarily responsible for Ganduje’s difficulty in the first election until rerun election was conducted.
The group said it is suspecting connivance with opposition parties to depopularize Buhari and APC in the state.
The group, therefore, urged the appeal committee chairman to order for fresh registration exercise and work closely with APC Buhari Support Group and the party’s aggrieved members in a bid to make the exercise democratic to represent a true reflection of APC membership in the state.
“That the APC extraordinary committee should make sure that the ward, local government and state congress should be conducted credibly by allocating a minimum of 40% to Buhari Support Group Organization to retain Kano as the continuous base of Buhari.
“That the prayer in item 9 above is made in recognition of the circulating rumour that most members of the party from old PDP are being congratulated because of the grand plan of selecting them as next leadership of the party in Kano,” the group alleged.
The letter was copied to President Muhammadu Buhari, Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, APC National Chairman Caretaker Committee and Chief of Staff to the President.
