You Cannot Deceive Tinubu, Rivers APC Chair Tells Atiku Loyalists

Chairman of the All Progressives Congress APC, Rivers State chapter, Chief Tony Okocha has faulted the recent declaration of support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration by certain chieftains of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) from the South-South state.
Members of the defunct PDP Presidential Campaign Council in the 2023 polls led by the former director general, Dr Abiye Sekibo, on Thursday declared their support for President Tinubu-led administration.
Flanked by former national chairman of the PDP, Prince Uche Secondus, they equally pledged support for the Rivers State Governor, Sim Fubara.
But speaking with newsmen at the APC, National Secretariat in Abuja, Chairman of the Party in Rivers State declared that the PDP, chieftains who made the proclamation could not be trusted.
He recalled that Sekibo and members of his group were hostile to President Tinubu and made unsavory remarks about him during the last general elections.
He said:” The undeniable fact of the matter is that all those that lined up on that table and signatories to the text in issue, are still ardent believers of HE Atiku Abubakar.
“Kindly take a look at the flex banner behind the table where they sat and see the picture/name of HE, Atiku Abubakar. It was deliberate and intentional.
“These persons can never forgive President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Nyesom Wike and APC Rivers over the sin of their woeful electoral defeat.

“Of course, it follows therefore, that anyone whose action or inaction, contributed to their dangerous fall, is inadvertently their sworn enemy. No wonder, they are surreptitiously targeting to cut out a pound of flesh from the Honorable Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, His Excellency, Chief Ezenwo Nyesom Wike. What a cul-de-sac.
“This wicked subterfuge cannot work under our watch. Nigerians know the circumstances and situations and scenarios that played out uniquely in 5 PDP controlled States in the build up to the 2023 Presidential election and the aftermaths/concomitant churn out.
“This assembly of protesters did not only vehemently carry out rigorous and excruciating campaigns against Asiwaju but they trumped up and funded hate speeches against Asiwaju.
“They and their ilk, championed the obscene and absurd denigration of Asiwaju in the media.
“They promoted the devilish narratives that Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu was frail and unhealthy, mentally senile, defecates on self and so, wears diapers. Extremely old and incapable of presiding over Nigeria. In fact, they played God by promoting that Asiwaju was in the departure lounge and will pass on in a bit.”
Chief Okocha also vowed that Sekibo and his colleagues would not be accommodated in the ruling party despite their open declaration of support for President Tinubu.
“If the mid-night pseudo lovers of Mr. president as shown in the text under critique, now are convinced that Mr President is abundantly fit and proper to preside over Nigeria and that his ten months in office has provided Renewed Hope for an eldorado for Nigerians and choose to recant their hitherto unsavoury and unprintable toxics against Mr. President, they should follow the proper channels allowed for porting or decamping to a new party.
“This approach of brow-beating and blackmailing they intend to use, is not fashionable at all.
“No sane host tolerates a Guest who attempts to enter his/her house, through the window when the door is open,” Okocha said.
