Chairmanship Race: APC Governors Visit Abdullahi Adamu
POLITICS DIGEST – Former Governor of Nasarawa State, Abdullahi Adamu, on Tuesday hosted some governors of the All Progressives Congress.
This is coming after governors elected on the platform of the ruling party met with President Muhammadu Buhari at the Presidential Villa in Abuja over the party’s convention.
The governors at the meeting concluded that the chairmanship position of the party would be zone to the North and also agreeing to fill vacant National Working Committee (NWC) positions through consensus.

The development was revealed by the Chairman of the Progressives Governors forum and Governor of Kebbi State, Atiku Bagudu, while addressing newsmen.
The detail of the meeting between Adamu and the APC governors was not revealed, but it was held after the meeting with President Buhari at the Aso Rock.
Among those who visited Adamu were Governors Simon Lalong (Plateau), Abdullahi Sule (Nasarawa), Yahaya Bello (Kogi), Sani Bello (Niger) and Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq (Kwara).
Adamu who is from the North Central was visited by governors from the region.
It was not stated if the meeting was to endorse his candidacy ahead of the National Convention of the party fixed for March 26, 2022.
