JUST IN: Chaos Envelops Rivers Assembly as Plot to Impeach Gov. Fubara Thickens
POLITICS DIGEST- The Rivers state House of Assembly complex in Port Harcourt is currently a chaotic scene with teargas canisters puncturing the humid morning air.
The furore comes amid rumours of attempts to impeach Siminalayi Fubara, governor of the state.

Earlier, a fire had gutted a section of the assembly complex and the main chamber.
The assembly was manned by fiercely-looking armed security men, with about 16 of their trucks, including Armoured Personnel Carrier (APC) stationed at strategic points of the assembly complex.
As at the time of filing this report, POLITICS DIGEST reliably gathered that 24 out of the 32 members of the Assembly have signed the impeachment notice on Governor Fubara.
