Claudia Sheinbaum Elected First Female President of Mexico
POLITICS DIGEST – Claudia Sheinbaum has been elected as the first female president of the United Mexican States.
Claudia who is the ruling party’s candidate won by landslide which is 60% of all the votes cast.

The flag-waving supporters sang and danced to mariachi music in Mexico City’s main square celebrating the ruling party candidate’s victory.
In a speech to the party’s supporters, Mrs Claudia said “I want to thank millions of Mexican women and men who decided to vote for us on this historic day.”
“I would led for all irrespective of religion, ethnicity and background,” said Mrs Claudia.
“I won’t fail you,” the 61-year-old former Mexico City mayor vowed.
She thanked her main opposition rival Xochitl Galvez, who conceded defeat.
