As the debate about his suitability for the role of Minister of Youth continue, it is imperative to consider the undeniable impact he has made over the last two and a half decades in Nigeria and across the globe.
Amidst the series of voices both for and against Dayo Israel’s candidacy, it is essential to separate rhetoric from reality, to sift through the myriad claims and counterclaims that surround his persona. What emerges is a picture of a man whose journey has been marked by remarkable achievements, underpinned by an unyielding dedication to competence and self-drive for change and development.

Dayo started the one of the formidable child organization in Nigeria at early stage, represented Nigeria at various United Nations and other global meetings, was the pioneer chairman of the Children conference – I see Hope project by President Obasanjo, brought the world to Nigeria 19 years ago championing for the right and places for young people at the table, through Dayo’s engagement many Nigerian young people and youth had encountered that turned their lives around and gave them hope.
Transitioning into politics, Dayo has touched lives within his community of Ebute Metta, as well as across Lagos State and Nigeria. As a board member of the Lagos State SUBEB, his influence played a pivotal role in rallying the team to achieving positive outcomes in the educational sector, in Lagos State.
Serving as the National Youth Leader of his party, Dayo transformed a seemingly insignificant office into a coveted position, leveraging it to impact lives nationwide. His pivotal role during the recent elections was distinctive and unmatchable, with the echoes of “Dayo, Dayo, Dayo” resonated throughout the last election and amid challenging circumstances, Dayo remained resolute, serving as a motivational force for his fellow youth and party leaders across different states.
He braved verbal abuse, curses, animosity, and criticism while steadfastly supporting his party and championing the cause of its flag-bearer, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, along with other party candidates.

From my perspective, Dayo Israel undoubtedly qualifies for the role of Minister of Youth. His extensive track record on both national and global stage stands as evidence of his capacity to bring about substantial change.

Rather than succumbing to criticism, it is more prudent to throw support behind Dayo Israel and observe as he tackles the forthcoming challenges.
