Days After Assuming APC Chair, Ganduje Appoints Chief of Staff

The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje has appointed Malam Muhammad Garba, a cabinet member of his two term administration in Kano State as his Chief of Staff.
Garba served as Commissioner for Information, Youth, Sports and Culture, and later as Commissioner for Information and Internal Affairs in Kano state, from 2015 to 2023.
This was contained in a statement signed by the Director Publicity APC, Bala Ibrahim, on Wednesday.

Garba was two-term National President of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), President West African Journalists Association (WAJA) and was also elected at Casablanca President Federation of African Journalists (FAJ) and a member of steering committee International Federation of Journalists (IFJ) Dublin, Ireland.
He was Press Secretary to the Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives in 1993 and to the Deputy Governor of Kano state from 1999-2003.
Garba, a holder of a Bachelor’s in History/Political Science and a Master’s in Development Studies from Bayero University, Kano, also holds a National Diploma in Journalism and Mass Communication from the International Institute of Journalism.
He served as the spokesperson of Gawuna/Garo campaign organisation 2023.
