Defend Your Budgets in Two Weeks, Senate Directs MDAs
POLITICS DIGEST – Following the conclusion of its debate on the general principles of the 2020 Appropriation Bill, the Senate on Tuesday has directed all the government Ministries, Departments and Agencies to depend their appropriations within two weeks.

President of the Senate, Ahmad Lawan, said any agency that refuses to appear before the relevant committee to defend its budget during the period would not have revenue allocation for next year.
The house also adjourned its plenary for two weeks to enable its Standing Committees engage Ministries, Departments and Agencies for the defence of their annual budget proposals.
