Edo Guber: INEC Begins Distribution Of Sensitive Materials
POLITICS DIGEST- The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) Thursday morning commenced distribution of sensitive materials to various local government areas of Edo State ahead of Saturday’s governorship election.
The distribution is being done on the premises of the Central Bank of Nigeria, located along Ring Road, under the watch of parties agents.
Several commercial buses hired by the Commission were seen lined up along the road.

At least 2,629,025 registered voters are expected to participate in the exercise which has generated a lot of tension in the state in recent days.
Mr Sam Olumekun, INEC National Commissioner and Chairman, Information and Voter Education Committee, said
a total of 379,245 Permanent Voters’ Cards (PVCs) representing 14.43 per cent were uncollected.
“Nigerians may recall that the commission recently announced that the total number of registered voters in Edo State is 2,629,025. The Commission went further to give the breakdown by gender, age, occupation and disability.
“Out of this figure, 2,249,780 (85.57%) have collected their PVCs while 379,245 (14.43%) of the PVCs are uncollected as at the end of the extended period for PVC collection on Sunday, 16th September 2024,” Olumekun had said.
