Edo 2020: Oyegun Endorses Obaseki’s Secnd Term Bid
POLITICS DIGEST – The former national chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Chief John Odigie Oyegun has declared his support for Governor Godwin Obaseki’s second term ambition in Edo state.
Oyegun, who was also the first executive governor of Edo state said Obaseki has managed to do some things the previous governors could not do in the interest of the people of the state.
The former national chairman of APC, however, called on all members of the party and Nigerians who are against the governor to have a rethink. Oyegun said Obaseki’s administration has initiated policies that are people-oriented.

He added that Obaseki-led administration has embarked on implement policies that are a total reflection of the dreams and aspiration of the founding fathers of the state.
Oyegun said: “Given the way you became governor, given the role that you are playing today, given the kind of example that you are showing to Nigerians, people should be ready to fight for the truth.”
Explained that most people have failed to understand how difficult it is to reconcile a man who has truth with a man who wants to compromise those principles at all cost.
“So it is our prayer that courage will not fail you. That the people of your state will stand by you and assure you that we will stand by you,” Oyegun added.
