Again, El-rufa’i Appoints Sanusi as KASU Chancellor
POLITICS DIGEST – The Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufa’i has approved the appointment of the deposed Emir of Kano, Muhammadu Sanusi II as the Chancellor of the Kaduna State University (KASU).
The appointment is coming barely two days after he was dethroned as the emir of Kano by the state government.
In a statement by the Special Adviser to the Governor (Media & Communication), Muyiwa Adekeye, the former emir will succeed the pioneer Chancellor of the university, His Highness, Malam Tagwai Sambo, the Chief of Moro’a, who was appointed to the role in 2005.
Recall on Tuesday also that the state government has earlier appointed Sanusi into the board of Kaduna Investment and Properties Agency (KADIPA) as vice chairman.

The statement reads: “On behalf of the government and people of Kaduna State, Malam Nasir El-Rufai is delighted to appoint His Highness, Muhammadu Sanusi II as the Chancellor of the Kaduna State University. In public life, His Highness has demonstrated a strong commitment to education.
