If Elected Governor, Ondo will Become Africa’s Dubai – Jimoh Ibrahim

An aspirant for the Ondo state governorship All Progressives Congress (APC) primary election, Senator Jimoh Ibrahim has said that if elected governor of the state, he will turn it into Dubai.
The Senator representing Ondo South also said that he is the most qualified candidate among all other aspirants contesting for the APC, governorship ticket in the state.
Senator Ibrahim said this while speaking to journalists after he submitted his nomination and expression of interest forms at the APC, secretariat in Abuja on Thursday.
He said “I am the first APC, Senator in Ondo South since the party was formed, no APC, candidate has been able to win election in that region.
“I came with some Cambridge data analytics and i was able to win that election. I scored 111,677 votes against Agbola Ajayi of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), so I gave him over 60,000 votes difference amongst all other contestants,” Ibrahim said.
When asked if he is not intimidated by the current governor of Ondo state Lucky Aiyedatiwa been in the race, he responded that with his level of experience, the governor will only do one year in office.

“Even when Akerodolu was alive, he give my own to me before he goes out in the morning, is it Aiyedatiwa i will be afraid of, Ayedatiwa is my friend i have nothing against him, is just that he should do his one year and disappear,” Senator Ibrahim said.
The business mogul further assured that with the level of his commitment and dedication to his state, he will emerge victorious come April 20th when the primary election will take place.
He said “I can assure you that we are going to win the next election, we have a movement that were set up, we have collected data of over 400,000 i have visited over 120 wards.”
He also rolled out his agenda if elected governor of Ondo state.
“My focus when I become governor, is to ensure that one, the Bitumen $47 billion seated in Agbabu is extracted.
“I brought the current Bitumen bill before the the National Assembly and we are now on the third reading of that bill so that we can have a law backing Bitumen.
“So why Bitumen arrangements have been failing is because we don’t have law guiding it.”
On the issue of security, the senator said that he will fortify Amoteku and also use a phone application to fight insecurity in the state, this he said modern security requires Artificial Intelligence (AI) to combat insecurity.
“Today security is about having the right app to manage the situation, when i become the governor i will use the military jets to fly drones around for intense security,” Senator Ibrahim said.
