Emir Sanusi Caught On Tape Attacking Kano Government Before Reinstatement
POLITICS DIGEST – The reinstated Emir of Kano Muhammadu Sanusi II has been caught on tape allegedly criticising Kano government over its failure to reinstate him after his deposition by ex-Governor Abdullahi Ganduje.
Sanusi was heard in the audio lamenting the failure of the governor to reinstate him after giving them his maximum support.
“We pray, our wealth was used and all the sufferings, but they will always tell you that we have done so much for them. What is the essence of saying that? Why are they saying that now while they failed to fulfil the promise that we had the belief they would fulfill (Reinstating him as Emir of Kano).
The planning are you doing it alone, did he call the Commissioner of Police or ask the state lawmakers to make the law? With who is he making the plan? ” Sanusi was allegedly referring to Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf.

The audio could not be ascertained whether it was recorded on a phone call or a physical conversation.
Sanusi was reinstated on May 24th after 4 years of his dethronement.
The Emir, who is in a running battle for the throne with his uncle, was rushed into the Emirs Palace hours after he received his letter of appointment by Governor Yusuf.
Shortly after his reinstatement, a Federal High Court gave an order asking both parties to maintain the status quo until the determination of the motion on notice filed.
Emir Aminu Bayero later came back to Kano a day after he was dethroned by the state government, where he stays at the Nassarawa Royal House with the protection of security men.
The state Commissioner of Police said that they are recognising Bayero as the Emir based on the existing court order.
