Empowerments: Kano Lawmaker Distributes Tool Kits to Constituents, N7m Grant
The member representing Madobi Constituency at the Kano State House of Assembly, Hon. Suleiman Mukhtar Ishaq, has distributed various start-up kits and provided financial support valued at millions of Naira to members of his constituency.
This is part of his efforts to alleviate poverty, reduce unemployment, empower local businesses, and boost socio-economic activities within the community.
These empowerment initiatives were unveiled today during a ceremony held at the headquarters of Madobi Local Government Area, Kano State.
The event featured the distribution of five vehicles, 25 motorcycles, 20 sewing machines, and 20 grinding machines to deserving individuals from the constituency. Additionally, jerseys and footballs were provided to local sports clubs to encourage youth engagement in sports activities.
Highlighting his commitment to community development, Hon. Ishaq also donated N7 million to aid his constituents in enhancing their business enterprises.
“This financial support is expected to foster entrepreneurship and economic growth among beneficiaries, who include women, youth, and individuals with special needs across our constituency.
“As I promised before winning the election, I will continue to sustain these empowerment initiatives on an annual basis, just like how we conducted it last year, and the next cycle in 2025 will be even more significant,” said the lawmaker.

In his remarks, the Speaker of the Kano State House of Assembly and special guest of honor, Rt. Hon. Abdullahi Yusuf Falgore, commended Hon. Ishaq for his dedication to improving the lives of constituents through such impactful initiatives.
He praised the lawmaker’s empathy and proactive approach in addressing the challenges of poverty and unemployment within the community.
“Hon. Ishaq is a hardworking colleague who is very dedicated and committed to his legislative duties while always putting the interests of his constituents and Kano State citizens before his personal benefits while steering the wheels of the committee he is chairing in the House,” Hon. Falgore added.
The Special Adviser to the Kano State Governor on Political Affairs, Sunusi Surajo Kwankwaso, also commended the lawmaker, adding that these empowerment efforts will significantly improve the living standards of the beneficiaries.
“This gesture marks a significant step towards achieving sustainable development goals in Madobi, as local residents receive crucial resources and financial backing to advance their livelihoods and contribute to the state’s prosperity,” he added.
Emergency Digest reports that the member was recently honored by the National Association of Life Science Students (NALISS), ABU Chapter, with the ‘Award of Excellence’ for launching several empowerment initiatives to tackle youth unemployment.
