Establishment of Community Watch In Katsina Excited Traditional Ruler
The Katsina State Government has been commended for the establishment of the community security watch committee and other various measures to curtail insecurity.
The Kanwan Katsina District Head of Ketare Alhaji Usman Bello Kankara mni in a press statement signed by his media aid and Sarkin Labarun Kanwa Jamilu Hashimu Gora made the commendation while inaugurating the village head community security committee in Ketare district.
While inaugurating the Ketare District Security committee in his palace, the monarch explained that it followed the state government directives to do so at district level.
According to the statement, the Kanwan Katsina who is the Chairman Ketare District community security committee urged the entire village heads to work assiduously to comply with the state government directives.

Alhaji Usman Bello stated that all the 147 wards heads are members of the committee in their respective village head committee in addition to religious leaders.
The statement noted that the Ketere District community security committee constitute of the 9 village heads of Ketare, Hurya, Kuka Sheka, Yar’tasmiyar Jino, Katoge, Gundawa, Tudu, gurbi and Pawwa.
While commending the Katsina State House of Assembly for establishing the community security watch law, the Kanwan Katsina further explained the provision of the law which includes two years imprisonment for violators and fine or both if convicted.
Alhaji Usman Bello Kankara mni assured continued support of traditional rulers to all government policies and programs.
At end of the inauguration, the monarch directed for special prayers to be offered for the return of peace in Ketare District, Kankara Local Government, Katsina State and the country at large.
