Halima Shehu Didn’t Confess to Removing N44BN From Any Account
POLITICS DIGEST- The suspended Chief Executive Officer, CEO, of the National Social Investment Agency,NSIPA, has denied social media reports making the rounds that she admitted during the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission EFCC, interrogation to illegally withdrawn 44 billion Naira.
In a statement issued by her media office, Mrs Shehu said the report was cooked up by fifth columnists to malign her character.

The statement reads, “The false news making the rounds that Halima Shehu confessed to removing the sum of N44 billion from any account are spurious, fictitious claims masked with lies being cooked up by evil machineries/Cohorts of the masterminds of the fraudulent activities being perpetuated against National Interest, to further malign Shehu’s image.
“The EFCC has not confirmed that on any of their pages or via any official press release that Halima Shehu made the purported confession being peddled by paid elements.
“Over the decades Halima Shehu has maintained an enviable track record of transparency and accountability which she still holds in high esteem.
“We hereby urge the public to disregard any sponsored publication being peddled and also fact-check before believing the propaganda being spread by these sponsored Fifth Columnists/Agents”.
