In December, I found myself engulfed in darkness, contemplating what the future held for my 9-year-old son Jamil and my elderly mother, if I die. knowing that she had selflessly sacrificed for me throughout my life. The weight of a near-terminal illness diagnosis left me with little hope, as many doctors offered dim prospects. In that moment of despair, I reached out to my childhood friend and secondary school classmate, Dr. Isibor Arhuidese, MD, MPH – an Assistant Professor of Surgery specializing in Vascular and Endovascular procedures, certified by the American Board of Surgery.
