“Personally, being a Muslim, we are always guided by our religion. Anything we wants to do in this life, first of all you tell Almighty God, Almighty is the one who gives power, so I have done what is required of me as a Muslim to ask Him to guide us. If winning this election is best for me in Sokoto State, may Almighty make it happen and if its not, maybe somebody better than me, so be it. What we want is to fight the imposition of candidate, we must allow the candidate that people want to lead them, if am the one fine and if am not the one, God should bring someone better than me.
A good Muslim will never indulge in a do or die, but when you impose un-qualify candidate, then it will become a do or die affairs,” he said.
When asked of his chances in Sokoto which is a PDP state, he said: “I can talk that of my party because I know even a layman can judge and see certainly, more than 80% Sokoto people like APC and they belong to APC.”
