Former Speaker, Ghali Na’abba, to Rejoin PDP, Vows to Reform Opposition Party
POLITICS DIGEST- Former Speaker of the House of Representatives, Honourable Ghali Umar Na’abba, has announced plans to rejoin and reform the Peoples Democratic Party in Kano state.
He made the statement in an interview with Freedom Radio which was monitored by POLITICS DIGEST.
“We realised that some party members are made slaves and are denied the right to contest for political offices.

“Its surprising that politics of today has turned to a company where political positions are shared depending on your loyalty,” he lamented.
Na’abba also condemned money politics, saying the good of the majority should be the reason for politicking and not pecuniary gains.
“The practice of sharing party leadership positions to loyalists without following the due process is undemocratic and outdated,” he said.
Na’abba represented Kano Municipal Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives where he was Speaker from 1999 to 2003.
