Ganduje Assures Nigerian Supporters Club of Assistance
POLITICS DIGEST- The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Dr Abdullahi Ganduje has assured Nigeria Football Supporters Club of the party’s support for growth and development.
Ganduje gave the assurance when he play host to the club on a courtesy visit and presentation of APC Cup 2024 to the national chairman as a seal of confidence that the supporters club is committed to advancing the course of football across the nation and the world.
He said: ” I assure you, I have accepted this gift. And I will assist the supporters club. I will ensure that it gets special consideration because APC is a party of the people. The supporters club is for the people. And everybody.
” So, we assure you of our own support and considerations. I have been in this club when I was nothing but now that I am in this important position, I will support you because you have made us proud. And APC is proud of you”, he declared.

Earlier, the President General of the Nigerian Supporters Club, Dr. Rafiu Ladipo who led members of the team to the visit in his remarks told the National Chairman that the club has been supporting football for many years saying he was supposed to be in Cote D’lvoire but he has to complete this visit because it ie key before going to join his members at the ongoing African Cup of Nation in Cote D’lvoire.
Accordinv to him: ” The supporters club have been there for 66 years. And we have been supporting football all around the world. We have done it so far that we have been adjured to be the best from the whole world by FIFA and CAF in 1994cand 1996. By CAF in 2006, 2008 and 2009.
” As the National Chairman of the APC, and a member of the supporters club, a patron of the supporters club, when I was with you in Kano, this was supposed to happen in Kano but it is happening in Abuja. So supporters club is happy to be here to decorate you as our national patron”, he narrated.
The President of the supporters club noted that this decoration is a prelude before President Bola Tinubu saying it is enshrine in the supporters club constitution that any current and sitting President of Nigeria is the grand patron of the supporters club.
” We want you to help us to inform him. That we are ready. I was supposed to be in Côte d’Ivoire for the ongoing African Cup of Nation but this is important and that is why I am saying behind. I want to see Mr. President before going to Cote D’lvoire”.
Those in his entourage includes; Prophet Godwin Ikuku, Comrade Moses Ebahor, President, Miss Football Nigeria, Comrade Ameachi Umeh, Felix Nicolas.
