Gawuna paid 11.8 Million Naira To Settle The Registration of 100 BUK Female Students
As Kano Government is yet to commit pledge

The former Deputy Governor of Kano and gubernatorial candidate of All Progressives Congress in 2023 election Dr Nasiru Yusuf Gawuna has paid for the registration of 100 female students who are indigines of Kano.
POLITICS DIGEST exclusively gathered that the former Deputy Governor requested the University to select and forward the names of 100 final year female students who were unable to pay for their registration.

In an acknowledgement letter seen by POLITICS DIGEST, the university acknowledged the receipt of the cheque and expressed its appreciation to Gawuna for coming to the aid of the students.
A staff of the Bayero University told this paper that the former deputy governor forwarded two cheques in the sum of 600,0000 (Six Million naira) and 5,827,000 ( Five Million Eight Hundred and Twenty Seven Thousand Naira) respectively.
It would be recalled that the Kano State Government has pledged to sponsor the registration of the indigines of the state but the government is yet to make payment at the time of filing this report
