Gbogbo Wa Lokan: We Will Give Tinubu Double of Buhari’s 2019 Votes – Yahaya Bello
By Nafisat Bello
Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello, has vowed to deliver the state in a resounding manner to the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, come 2023 general election.
Bello who spoke with a large crowd of enthusiastic supporters in Lokoja on Tuesday said the votes garnered in the state by President Muhammadu Buhari in 2019 was more than what he got in 2015, adding that the votes he and other APC faithful would give Tinubu in 2023 would double what the President got in 2019.
The governor recalled Tinubu’s popular saying “Emi lo kan” which means “it is my turn,” which he said before the APC Primaries that Bello also participated in.

Bello added that in his capacity as the Governor of the state and one of the brave people that challenged Tinubu in the primaries, he would declare that “Awon lo kan” meaning “It is his turn” in reference to Tinubu.
The governor told the audience that since Tinubu won the keenly contested APC ticket, 2023 is indeed his turn to rule Nigeria as President and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces.
“And let me tell you, by the special grace of God, the way we did it in 2019 and the numbers we recorded for President Muhammadu Buhari and Vice President Yemi Osinbajo in 2019 was higher than what they got in 2015. And the one we are going to deliver as far as Kogi state is concerned for Tinubu and Shettima will be times two of what we had the last time.
“And you know what. It is only when we do all these and we escort him to the Villa come May 29, 2023, then it will be Gbogbo wa lokan,” the governor said amidst an overwhelming applause from the audience.
