Gombe: Goje’s daughter resigns as Commissioner
POLITICS DIGEST- The political crisis in Gombe State between governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya and his erstwhile political godfather, Senator Danjuma Goje, is not abating as Goje’s daughter, Dr Hussaina has resigned as a commissioner from the state cabinet.
Dr Hussaina Goje, on Saturday tendered her resignation as the Commissioner of Environment and Forest Resources in the state, in a one paragraph letter addressed to the governor.
This is coming barely 24 hours after her father was reportedly embarrassed, molested and denied entry into Gombe by suspected political thugs.

In a letter dated 6th November content of which she read in Hausa language on video and posted on the various social media platforms and made available to journalists in Gombe, Hussaina Goje stated that her resignation was based on personal reasons.
It read: “Today on November 6, 2021, I wish to inform the general public and media organisations that I, Dr. Hussaina Goje, have tendered my resignation as the Commissioner of Environment and Forest Resources to His Excellency, Executive Governor of Gombe State, Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, effective from today.
“I also wish to inform the general public that my resignation was based on personal reasons. I wish to show my appreciation for the opportunity given to me by His Excellency, the Executive Governor, to serve as a member of his executive council in this administration.”
However, many believed that the development is not unconnected with the attack on Senator Danjuma Goje’s convoy on Friday by suspected political thugs who blocked the convoy soon after he landed at the Gombe Airport.
