Gov Bello Congratulates Kogi Indigenes Who Made SAN List
POLITICS DIGEST – Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello has congratulated illustrious indigenes of the state who made the list of legal luminaries to be conferred with the Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN) title.
No fewer than seven (7) indigenes of Kogi State are among the 72 lawyers, who are successful applicants for the rank of Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN) this year and would be formally conferred with the title at a ceremony scheduled for Wednesday, December 8 at the Supreme Court, Abuja.
Governor Yahaya Bello in a statement issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Onogwu Muhammed described the conferment of the SAN title on deserving citizens of the state as great feat worth celebrating.

He said for the citizens to have made the list of those to be conferred with the prestigious SAN title showed they have distinguished themselves in the legal profession over the many years of their practice.
Governor Bello while rejoicing with the legal luminaries, family members and well wishers, urged them to continue to make the state proud in the discharge of their legal services to the country.
He also congratulated the Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN), Justice Tanko Muhammed and the entire Nigerian judiciary for a successful conferment of SAN titles on the deserving citizens and the commencement of the new legal year.
The Director of Press and Information, the Supreme Court of Nigeria, Dr. Festus Akande had in a statement, on Sunday, said the event was part of activities to formally herald the court’s new legal year.
It will be recalled that out of the 159 legal practitioners that applied for the rank of Senior Advocate of Nigeria in the course of this year, 72 were successful at the end of the rigorous exercise. Out of this number, ten are academics while 62 are advocates.
The Supreme Court commenced its annual vacation after a remarkably successful 2020/2021 legal year on Monday, 25th July 2021.
