Gov Bello to Criminals: Flee Kogi State Now, or Else…

Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi state has promised to deal decisively with kidnappers and bandits making life a hell to the people of the state.
Speaking on Tuesday when he received in audience the three Kogi APC senatorial district flagbearers for the February election, in Lugard’s House, Lokoja, Bello maintained that this is not the time to continue with motions on the floor of the National Assembly, but the time for action against insurgents, kidnappers and other forms of criminality in the country.

He said there have been several motions and resolutions in the last seven years that have yielded no fruitful results, lamenting that Nigerians have continued to suffer, killed and deprived of their daily needs.
He noted that criminal elements cannot deprive the people of their rights to legitimately carry out businesses without fear of insecurity.
The governor decried the fact that farmers can no longer have rest of mind, let alone go to their farms. He assured that such unhealthy situation will never be allowed to continue, saying whatever is humanly possible, his administration would do so as not to allow insurgents from within or outside the country be allowed to operate in the State.
“I will do everything humanly possible to protect the life and property of the citizens of Kogi State”, he vowed.
Governor Bello assured Kogi residents that more will be done to bring an end to crimes and criminalities that have resurfaced in some parts of the state, especially Ajaokuta LGA.
