Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf needs individuals like Barr. Ismail Abdullahi Mukhtar in his cabinet.

To address the current dissatisfaction among New Nigeria People’s Party members, Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf needs individuals like Barr. Ismail Abdullah Mukhtar in his cabinet. Many party members have been complaining about neglect by some of the governor’s appointees, who seem more interested in enriching themselves than serving the people.
Since coming on board close to two years now, the incumbent cabinet has been accused of being too slow and not responding fast enough to the needs of the people by alleviating their difficulties. They have equally been accused of not displaying and promoting the good projects being executed by Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf. Additionally, some of them were alleged to have diverted the palliatives meant for the state’s impoverished communities.
At some point, the Governor was seen and heard decrying and lamenting over the disappointment, mistrust, and deceit by some of his appointees, to the extreme of believing that almost no one is trustworthy anymore. These issues, coupled with other problems, led many members of the NNPP in Kano to decamp to opposition parties. Several defectors to the Barau-led APC have corroborated these claims, with Habu Tabule’s case being a notable example.
It’s well-known that the Senator has been wooing NNPP members to his camp. However, in my humble view, the root cause of some cabinet members’ underperformance lies in their desire to enrich themselves. They are preoccupied with recouping their campaign expenses. Consequently, they fail, neglect, and/or refuse to serve the party members and the people of Kano state.

Therefore, Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf must scout for individuals like Barr. Ismail Abdullahi Mukhtar, also known as Jakadan Kwankwasiyya. The Governor needs individuals with exceptional qualities and track records like Barr. Ismail Abdullahi Mukhtar in his cabinet. He has sustained the legacy of the Kwankwasiyya movement by assisting the needy and underprivileged in Kano state. Despite not holding public office, his philanthropic efforts have been widespread, showcasing his commitment to the people.
As Jakadan Kwankwasiyya, Barr. Ismail has proven himself a tireless and devoted party member, doing everything possible to uplift party members and citizens. Recently, he empowered hundreds of youth with brand-new Techno Spark 30 mobile phones to engage in digital business and promote Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf’s projects. He is currently sponsoring water distribution across the state, especially in Nassarawa local government, to alleviate water scarcity caused by the national grid collapse.
His day-to-day initiatives through the Jakadan Kwankwasiyya Foundation demonstrate his capacity for impactful leadership. As a wealthy individual, if entrusted with public office, he is less likely to siphon public funds, ensuring transparency and accountability. Throughout his legal career, he has consistently fought against mistrust and injustice, earning the people’s trust.
In conclusion, I firmly believe that with cabinet members like Barr. Ismail, Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf can address the current dissatisfaction among New Nigeria People’s Party members and the general public. The governor’s vision for an inclusive and progressive government that respects the rule of law and prioritizes people-oriented governance aligns with Barr. Ismail’s values. By appointing individuals with a proven track record of service and integrity, Governor Yusuf can revitalize his administration and better serve the people of Kano state.
