Governor Ganduje Reshuffles Cabinet
POLITICS DIGEST– The governor of Kano state Dr Abdullahi Umar Ganduje has reshuffled his Cabinet with the redeployment of three Commissioners to other ministries and assigning of portfolio to the newly inaugurated commissioner who took the Oath of Office at the Council meeting today, Wednesday.
The governor hinted immediately after the inauguration of the newly appointed Commissioner that he would reshuffle his Cabinet, with the coming of the new person into the state Executive Council, Idris Garba Unguwar Rimi.
The reshuffled Cabinet is with immediate effect. Those in the new set up include the following:

1. Mahmud Muhammad Dansantsi, moved from Ministry of Commerce to Ministry of Housing and Transport,
2. Barrister M.A. Lawan, moved from Ministry of Housing and Transport to Ministry of Justice,
3. Barrister Ibrahim Mukhtar, moved from Ministry of Justice to Ministry of Commerce, and
4. Idris Garba Unguwar Rimi, the newly appointed Commissioner is posted to the Ministry of Works and Infrastructure
While calling them to be up and doing, as their past records show, he urges them to remain committed for the overall development of the state.
Directing them and all other Commissioners to continue observing COVID-19 protocols as enunciated by health professionals. Emphasising that, “They should make sure that the protocols of hand washing with soap and running water, use of sanitizer, use of face masks and social distancing are obeyed in their offices and homes.”
