Gunmen Assassinate APC Ward Chairman, Villagers in Kogi Community
POLITIC DIGEST – Tragedy struck in oganienugu community, Dekina Local Government Area of Kogi State when a yet-to-be-identified gunmen attacked and killed several villagers.
The reports gathered that the ward Chairman of the All Progressive Congress, Hon James Adah, was among those that were attacked.
The gunmen attacked Aloko, a community in the state, Oganenigu Ward of the Dekina LGA, and left many people dead and hundreds of houses in flames.

The attackers, who are dozens in number, launched their most recent assault on Sunday from a base in the Bassa LGA’s neighbour.
This online newspaper learnt that the invaders lit up homes as soon as they arrived and began shooting anyone in their path.
James Adah, the All Progressives Congress (APC) Oganenigu’s Ward Chairman, was one of the victims of the attack.
Governor Yahaya Bello has meanwhile urged restraint in the wake of the assault.
He declared, “My administration will continue to confront crisis entrepreneurs from the state and ensure that those responsible will be held accountable under the law.”
In its efforts to purge the state of criminals, the government “will never yield to the schemes of heartless elements,” he continued.
